Nonnie Caswell Gallery

Helen Draper Casewell, 1897 - 1990

Nonnie Caswell was a well known local artist whose speciality was architectural portraits and landscapes. Many residents have had their homes painted in miniature by Nonnie. She is Gouverneur's "Grandma Moses" the museum is fortunate to own a number of her works. Nonnie even put herself in the scenes, like the in the painting, below. Read Nonnie's obituary.
